Basically a long time ago I saw this third party product. you could snap your sony battery into it, and a cable comes out, and you could put little adapter heads on it and - thus- use your spare sony batteries to power ....say... an LCD monitor.
Ive been trying to find them now, using words like adapters and converters but all I get is chargers and car equpiment. Im lookin to strap this to the back of my LCD monitor, so it can run on my canon batteries. (XL2 batteries)

In theory there is nothing stopping this from working, however I've never heard/seen such a product. If you do find one, just be mindfull of the output voltage.
A LCD monitor would suck the batteries dry pretty quickly too...
