A 1.000g sample of a compound (containing C, H, and O) was placed in a combustion analyzer. The combustion produced 1.174g of water and 1.913g of carbon dioxide. Find the masses of C, H, and O in the original sample and the empirical formula of the sample.

1.913g of carbon dioxide @ 12 g Carb / 44 g CO2 = 0.5217 g carbon
1.174g of water @ 2.016 g H2 / 18.01 g H2O = 0.1314 g Hydrogen

1.000g sample - 0.5217 g carbon - 0.1314 g Hydrogen =
0.3469 g oxygen
