Sun Microsystems have introduced sun Certified Professional (SCP) certificate program for students and others. This certificate has been introduced to verify a specific skill-set of a student in Sun technology, especially in java programming language and Solaris Operating System, and includes many programs. These programs were made keeping in mind the different needs of the IT industry.

SCJP or Sun certified Java Programmer is a certificate given after a test for java script. The test comprises of basic questions about the language. It is not a very technical test, that is, in depth questions are not included. The exam is quite detailed and comprises of questions about basic java script knowledge and its essentials. Variables and looping constructs are tested too. Specific technologies like GUI creation or network programming are not covered in the syllabus for SCJP. The current version of SCJP 6.0 test is aimed at testing JDK 6.0 release for java script. At least thirty eight questions (around 58%) is needed to be correct for passing.

The test is taken at Prometric centre. A candidate has to buy a voucher from The Sun Microsystems to sit for the exam, and has to notify a week before hand. The voucher can be obtained for 300 USD or 5000 INR (plus taxes). It is 150 pounds in UK, and 316 (plus tax) in Australia. This test is available in English, Japanese, Chinese, German, Portugal, Korean and Spanish.

Many people get certified on the No. 3, No. 3.5 and the No. 4 grippers. There are rules you need to follow for certification so if you are using “Captains of Crush” grippers why not get certified.

how do i find out when & where to take test to become a certified medical coder?

Am currently medical coding for a radiology group but would like to be certified to find extra work if at all possible. But what i am needing to know is when and where can i take test to get certified.

Hi, for medical coding certification there are a couple of organizations that offer them, but I think the most recognized is the AHIMA, website is at http://www.ahima.org/certification/
They offer CCA (Certified Coding Associate), CCS (specialist), etc. These certifications test on all of medical coding, not only radiology.

For specifically Radiology Coding, there is this website http://www.rccb.org/ for the Radiology Coding Certification Board for the RCC (radiology certified coder), I don't know how well recognized this credential is.

Please do your research before taking these tests. They aren't cheap.
