Replacing the glass lens cover on Regent MQF150 floodlight?

I have a Regent/Cooper MQF150 floodlight and I'm replacing the bulb. I got the bulb in, but I'm trying to replace the glass lens cover. It looks like the glass cover was adhered somehow to the front. The instructions say to put the screws back in the sides to secure it, but the screws have nothing to do with the glass. Help anyone?

The screws do hold on the frame cover, what you're looking at as glue is the gasket material used to make the light weather proof and it has just gotten stuck.
