Flow Cytometry for testing cells in multiple wells?
Hi everybody,
I have a question about flow cytometry. I know a bit about how it works but I am wondering that if we wanted to use it to check for the presence of an antigen in cells in thousands of different wells , how would that work? Would we have to manually put the contents of each well into the cytometer? or can it be done automatically?
From what I know using the flow cytometer we have right now ... yes you have to insert each manually.
But our cytometer is also new where we can use 8 different colors at the same time.
Press Release
Oxford, UK (9 March 2010) - BD Biosciences, a segment of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE: BDX), announced today the launch of the BD FACSAria™ III Cell Sorting System, a next-generation flow cytometer with the ability to run complex multicolor experiments using up to six lasers.
