What is the average lifespan of a plotter cutter that makes vinyl graphics & signs?

My first Roland plotter was already about 10 yo when I bought it, and I got another 3 years out of it before the sensor went. I bought a new Roland GX-24, and am expecting to get at least 10 years out of it (if I don't trade it in for a bigger, badder machine at some point)
