how can I find out about a painting I have signed by the artist Lindberg?

They painting is of a woman in a blue dress, lying on a chaise lounge. It is an antique.
I am not near an appraisal house and I am not have luck typing in the name. Does someone know a web site maybe??

Take it to several antique stores to have appraised,you may have to pay a small amount for this,if they show an interest in buying it,it probably is worth far more than they tell you,don't let them know your on to them so they won't call other stores in your area,tell them you will have to discuss selling it with your ?brother sister and will be back that day.you see-once they see something of value,they want it so they can put it in auction to make the big bucks,so there you go the easiest way to find out if its worth anything,whatever you do,if they show interest DON"T sell it to them.then you can go the next step further,by researching it from a library,or take it to a art museum but call first for an appointment....hope you got something good,I collect antiques and have some old paintings too but haven't done anything with them yet,oh and you could always check out eBay and see what a painting by this person goes for,their are web sights that will let you send a pic of the pic but they charge also,research.....Mia
