Here are some more information for Linear Rail:

Stringed Musical Instruments
MX9706126
A tuning system (150) is described for automatically tuning a musical instrument having adjustment means for changing the frequency of a musical tone produced by a musical string of the instrument. The tuning system (150) of the present invention is useful with respect to a wide variety of musical instruments, e.g., string instruments such as, guitars, harps, pianos, etc., and other instruments. A tuning system (150) is operative to selectively tune a musical string of a stringed instrument to a user selected predetermined frequency value.
WO2008045399
A multiple part pick for engaging strings of a stringed musical instrument has a first part with a first blade for engaging the strings, a second part having a second blade for engaging the strings, and means for slidable connection between the first part and the second part for relative movement between the two parts. The blades of the two parts are mounted for a relative sliding movement accomplished by relative movement of the musician's fingertips, so that a musician can selectively choose which blade to use to engage with the strings without interrupting a musical performance. Different playing qualities among the blades allow the musician to produce different qualities in sounds without interrupting the performance. In additional embodiments, a third blade can be added to the device, or an optional holder part can be added to keep the two or three parts from disengaging with one another during performance.

An improved stringed instrument bridge and zero fret with easily adjustable intonation mechanics for stringed instrument with a plural of saddle bodies, a wire holder tightly affixed to the saddle body securing the saddle bodies in place, the saddle body is adjusted by moving the wire holder affixed to the saddle body, a top plate body with a plural cut outs, securing the saddle bodies in place, an anchor body, with a plural of long thin screws passing through apertures in existing guitar bridge body, and into threaded apertures in the anchor body pulling everything together tightly, and providing a means for adjusting the instruments tone and amplitude, therefore this invention provides an improved instrument bridge with easily adjustable intonation that does not lose its position while changing strings or playing the instrument.
WO2007099566
A method for manufacturing the neck of stringed musical instruments comprising operations for the manufacture of a first shaped element that develops mainly along a longitudinal axis, the manufacture of a second shaped element that develops mainly along the same longitudinal axis, the creation on the outer surface of said second shaped element of a plurality of linear grooves lying at a given distance from one another and identifying longitudinal directions parallel to one another and at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the shaped elements, the insertion in the linear grooves of a plurality of metal strips that divide the fingerboard on the neck and the coupling of the two shaped elements. The metal strips are all simultaneously slotted into the linear grooves by means of a pressing action on the metal strips distributed over the entire length of the second shaped element.
US2007068362
A bearing element for stringed musical instruments comprising a mainly vertically arranged frame, placed on a bearing surface provided with support means which defines a housing able to receive the body of the instrument. Each of said support means comprises a couple of mutually opposed jaws, slidingly coupled to the support means and joined together through regulation means able to modify in a continuous way the distance between the jaws, which comprise a shaped body defining a concave surface bounding on one side said housing.
US2006213350
A string bending device for stringed instruments and methods of use are claimed. The novel device permits the user to tension a string to change the pitch and tone by means of a tension arm and attached string pad. The string pad is unique in that it possesses an arcuate channel that acts as a string guide and promotes string life by gently bending the string along the arcuate channel and distributing pressure along a length of the string rather than at one point. The device may be repositioned during play so that other strings can be individually bent. The use of a plunger that may be easily disengaged and reengaged during the playing of the instrument allows the tension arm to easily be repositioned by sliding the tension arm along a rail system. Adjustable tension arm stops permit the user to predetermine the maximum tension that can be applied to each string.

Should I buy Fable 2 or Fallout 3?
I loved Fallout even back when it was called Wasteland. I know allot of people are jumping on the "Yeah, I love Fallout" ban-wagon, but I really do love Fallout. That's why I'm hesitant to buy 3. I think it looks fun, but not Fallout. It looks more like Elder Scrolls 4.5, only much more linear. I HATE linear. Also the whole game look ugly and bland. The conversations looked too controlled and uninteresting, peppered with naughty words to be edgy. I HATE edgy.
But on the other hand, Fable 1 was such a massive disappointment to me. It was short, narrow, and felt like a half-@ssed demo. There was NO variety at all. The whole game was on a rail. But the combat was halfway fun. All the features they boast seem pointless and are full of them selves. The game seems to want to give the illusion of free choice, but not really give it to you.
Basically though, I want a painless, open ended, sandbox, rapid, rpg...
Who is the better pick?
If you find a painless, open ended, sandbox RPG, let me know. I'd like to play it too.
I'm also a fan of the old Fallout - it was hysterical to me. And I have the same fear that they'll muck it up. I don't like strictly linear either, which is why I liked Elder Scrolls. Follow the main plot, don't follow the main plot go kill something, follow a minor plot, mod it out the yazoo to make it more interesting, whatever.
I did like Fable 1 though. The combat and skill system were nice, but the eat-a-crunchy-chick-to-be-evil thing was a little silly. I did want the game to be longer though by the time you reach that last town it felt like lather-rinse-repeat.
And I still enjoyed it. I'll probably get both, but I'm looking forward to Fallout 3 more. I'm thinking that Fable 2 will wait until I get it as a pre-owned copy, and it will feel like the original game to a fault - like someone tacked on some extra chapters to Fable 1, and everything else is the same.
Oh wait, they sold that version already
