is it possible to replace keys on a laptop keyboard?

i was smoking a cigarette last month while working on my laptop. of course i was in the zone not realizing my 2 year old was standing near me. then i looked at him and he had this plastic wing from a fairy costume. the boy bent the wing, and suddenly hit the cherry of my cigarette! it went flying on me and my keyboard and melted three of my keys. they are small spots, but i like my things to look good. is it possible to replace only three keys? if so how much do they normally cost?

Depends on the make and model. Some you can and some you can not. Normally the manufacturer does NOT sell individual keys. You have to purchase an entire keyboard (using in the $50-$75 range). It is usually better to replace the whole keyboard (check the manufacturer's web site for instructions) then just the inidividual keys.

You can also try e-bay as a source for replacement keys or keyboards.
