Easy-to-purchase Mets Tickets Online
Mets tickets are being purchased by the fans despite the dismal performance of the team in 2007. This just shows the love the fans have for this team, cheering them and rooting for them to encourage them to play their best match ever this season.
History
The Mets were formed in the year 1961 as the New York Metropolitan Baseball Club Inc. They participate in the Eastern Division of the National League. It is a fact that the team lost quite a few matches during the initial years but as the years passed the team began to perform and capture a fan following that today makes them one of the most popular teams ever. Stars such as Nolan Ryan, Tug Mcgraw, Darryl Strawberry and Ron Darling were instrumental in the team’s success. The team has played in two ballparks, the Polo Grounds and the Shea Stadium. This is the last season that the team will play in the Shea Stadium, one of the oldest ballparks in the country, before moving to its new home park Citi Field in 2009.
The 2007 season was a huge disappointment but the team has made certain changes to foster hope in them for the team’s success. The team came in 2nd in the Eastern division in 2007 losing out to the Phillies. Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, and David Wright are expected to steer the team towards a more fruitful season. Other new additions to the team include Brian Schneider, Tony Armas, Angel Pagan, Brian Stokes, Matt Wise and Ryan Church. The team’s pitching line up is formidable with Santana, Perez and Martinez. The fans are hoping that this season will prove to be different with the team continuing to exhibit its winning streak till the end of the season! The team has quite a few players who are dealing with injuries so let’s wait and watch which way the wind blows!
Mets tickets can be purchased online. Most fans have used the services of authorized ticket brokers to secure tickets to even games that have been sold out. Fans find that they are offered a variety of Mets tickets to almost all the Mets games. Which one of the following conditions is always met at the equivalence point of the titration?
Which one of the following conditions is always met at the equivalence point of the titration of a monoprotic weak base with a strong acid?
a. The pH of the solution is equal to 7.00.
b. The volume of acid added from the buret equals the volume of base titrated.
c. The molarity of the acid equals the initial molarity of the weak base.
d. The percent ionization of the acid equals the percent ionization of the base.
e. The moles of acid added from the buret equals the initial moles of weak base
a) This is only true for the titration of a strong acid with a strong base or vice versa. At the equivalence point of the titration of a weak base with a strong acid the pH is less than 7.00 and at the equivalence point of the titration of a weak acid with a strong base the pH is greater than 7.00.
b) When a monoprotic weak base is titrated with a monoprotic strong acid, if the molarities of the acid and base are the same, the volume of acid added from the buret becomes equal to the volume of base titrated.
c) This is the reverse case of (b) and is not always met. If the volume of the acid spend equals the volume of base titrated, then we can say that their molarities are the same.
d) Since acid used is strong its percent ionization is 100%. But the base is weak base and dissociates only a small extend. As acid is added, it neutralizes OH- ions produced by the base and base dissociation equilibrium shifts to right.
BOH(aq) <------> B+(aq) + OH-(aq)
This continues until all base dissociate.
At the equivalence point, one may think that since all base is neutralized, its percent dissociation gradually increases and reaches 100%. However, this is not true. Because the cation of the base (B+) at the equivalence point hydrolyzes and forms BOH again.
B+(aq) + H2O(l) <----> BOH(aq) + H+(aq)
e) THIS IS ALWAYS TRUE.
This is the requirement of the complete neutralization.
The mole of H+ ion should be equal to the mole of OH- ion.
If both the base and acid are monoprotic, then ; the mole of acid should be equal to the mole of base.
Note: if one of them is mono protic, the other is diprotic, the mole of H+ ion again be equal to the mole of OH- ion at the equivalence point, but in this case, the moles of acid and base become different.
