What brands of microscope are good?
Hi there. I'm looking to get myself a home microscope to aid in my microbiology classes. My college uses stereo microscopes with objective magnifications up to 1000x and an oil of 1500x.
Are there trusted brands out there in this capability range? To make a guitar reference, what's the gibson of microscopes?

From my experience Zeiss and Leica have both been good, also I believe Nikon makes some good ones though I've really only had experience with their lenses and filters. I know I did some oil-immersions with them, but I can't recall if it went up to 1500x
