Here are some more information for Microscope System:

Different Types of Microscopes and Their Functions
Going back to the very first microscope invented in the 1590 to the microscope available today, there is a great earthshaking change in the technology. The microscope makes it possible to observe the minute organisms or the cells that are not visible by the naked eyes. Do you know the first microscope was an optical microscope? After that their have been lots of improvements in the parts of a microscope, which made it more advance. Today you can easily find many different types of microscope. To a great extent, they are capable of magnifying the object.
Optical microscopes, as the oldest and simplest ones, are otherwise known as the light microscope. These microscopes use visible light and a combination of lenses to enlarge the vivid images of the samples. Both simple and compound microscopes are two basic types of optical microscopes. The difference between them is the former bears a single lens and the latter uses a combination of lenses. With the rapid development of high-tech, the latest type of optical microscope called digital microscope, also uses light to illuminate the samples.
Electron microscope has a high resolution as compared to the other microscopes. An electron microscope uses a beam of highly energetic electrons to illuminate the object. As compared to the optical microscopes, electron microscopes can produce highly magnified images. There are two type's scanning Electron Microscope and the Transmission Electron Microscope. The original version of electron microscope, called transmission electron microscope, makes fully use of high voltage electron beam for the formation of image. Several parts of the sample may allow the beam to pass through it. However, others scatter the beam. This information about the specimen is carried by the beam, which emerges from the sample, which in turn is magnified by the lens system in fact.
Now you must be aware of the different types of microscopes and their functions. Apart from the microscopes discussed above, there are many specialized ones, which are used for particular purposes. As new inventions and researches will keep on changing, you need to keep an eye on the types of microscope regularly.

microscope questions?
okay so somehow my bio teacher expects me to come up with answers without a book? sooo:
1)compare the lens system of a light microscope to that of a scanning electron microscope.
2)Why are electron microscopes able to magnify objects many times more than light microscopes?
3)Compare Van Leewenhoek's microscopes with the modern compound microscope.
Let's keep it simple okay.
1) A light microscope uses light to look at microscopic objects, where an electron microscope uses an electron beam to look at specimens. Using light allows for the use of optical lenses that are engineered to very high tolerance. In the electron microscope, there is no light but rather an electron beam so an optical lens is of no use. Instead, the electron beam is focused using electromagnets and the electron beam is focused onto a sample that has been treated with compounds that contain very dense atoms like lead.
2) The resolving power of the microscopes is limited to the characteristics of the system you are using to visualize them. In a light microscope you are limited to looking at things that are within the size of the wavelength of light. For an electron microscope, an electron beam is from a much smaller range of the electromagnetic spectrum allowing the user to see details that are much smaller than would be visible using visible light.
3) van Leeuwenhoek's microscope was relatively simple and had only a couple of lenses in the light path (if I remember correctly). Modern compound microscopes have multiple lenses within the light path at a given time and also have a far more advanced condenser lens system that allows more highly focused light to be brought into the plane of the specimen on the stage allowing for better, more even illumination and assisting in getting the highest resolution possible..
An insult to our intelligence
IT has become something of a ritual lately that when certain Muslim NGOs run scared of a good debate, they eagerly go about making police reports.
