Here are some more information for Oxygen Meter:

Compressed Air Flow Meter: No More Loss
Many people try to save much money when it comes to compressed air. Indeed, this is a very true situation, because compressed oxygen is one of the most expensive forms of energy out there. And, when the air is compressed and kept in a storage place, it may leak, and this leads to more costly maintenance, eventually labeling itself one of the most expensive forms of energy.
Many people realize that most of the cost of compressed energy is actually contributed by the maintenance cost. And they are mostly left in wonder as to how to solve this problem. This is where the need for a compressed air flow meter would come in. This compressed oxygen flow meter is actually something financially very beneficial, and one which companies are investing in these days.
As we know, any air flow meter is generally used to measure the amount, or volume, of the gas or air traveling through the meter. When it comes to compressed air, the compressed air flow meter would give the accurate measurement of the flow and air consumption. This is not only limited to compressed oxygen only, but also can be used for other mediums such as non-explosive gases.
The Various Advantages
One good thing about the compressed oxygen flow meter types that are sold commercially nowadays is that they can be easily installed, without even disturbing the running system. This would mean to say that there would not be any need to shut the compressed oxygen system down to fix this meter in the middle. Compared to the meters in those days, these days they are much quicker and easier to install.
Another good thing about the compressed air flow meters sold commercially these days is that you would have no more worries of accuracy, which previously you would have calculated manually; a seriously daunting job. Any compressed oxygen flow meter within the range of below $500 can do this job very cleanly and efficiently. It would accurately identify the quantity of air leakage in various units, enabling the owner or company to do auditing much faster and easier.
A high end compressed air flow meter can work with varying loads and will have no problem with vibrating environments. The main reason why people install this compressed air flow meter is to optimize their compressed oxygen plant usage, and in that sense it needs to be effective and adaptive to the environment as well.

By how much will the oxygen in a room be depleted by carbon dioxide?
A room has a volume of 30 cubic metres and the air change rate is 1 per hour. A gas fire is spilling carbon dioxide (as well as a tiny amount of carbon monoxide) into the room at a rate of 1.343 cubic metres per hour. I am trying to find out by how much the oxygen (assuming 20.9% in air) will deplete, due to the carbon dioxide, after n hours. I need to know if the oxygen will go down from 20.9% to 18.5% and if so, in how many hours. The problem is more difficult than I at first imagined. Any help that you can give me would be much appreciated.
V = 30m³
r = 1 m³/hour
q = 1.343 m³/hour
Xo = 20.9%
The problem is poorly stated.
Lets assume that its not gas fire, it's coal buring.
(This assuption is the most consistant with rest of stated conditions, and makes more fun to solve).
In this case reaction is C + O2 -> C02.
One mole of gas in, one mole of gas out.
Lets denote x(t) concentration of oxigen.
Volume of oxigen coming from outside: rXo dt
Volume of oxigen leaving the room: rx(t) dt
Volume of oxigen burned: q dt
Net change in concentration:
d[Vx(t)] = rXo dt - rx(t) dt - q dt
Vdx = (rXo - rx - q) dt
Vdx / (r(Xo-x) - q) = dt
V/r[ ln(1 - r/q(Xo - x)) = -t
1 - r/q(Xo - x) = exp(-rt/V)
(Xo - x) = q/r(1 - exp(-rt/V))
Answer:
x = Xo - q/r(1 - exp(-rt/V))
Earth Talk: Is there potential for carbon ‘nanotubes’ in battery technology?
Dear EarthTalk: What is the potential for carbon “nanotubes” in battery technology? I heard them referred to as the biggest battery breakthrough to come along in years. And what else can we expect to see in terms of new battery technology in coming years? R.M. Koncan, via e-mail The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries now so common in everything [...]
