The chemist decides to determine the volume of the fragmentby seeing how much water it will displace when submerged. The chemist adds water to a graduated cylinder that can hold 50.0 cm3. The level of water in the cylinder shows it contains 25.8 cm3. After the meteorite peice is submerged, the water level rises to 45.9 cm3. the density of water is 1.00 g/cm3. What density will the chemist calculate for the meteorite samples? Organize the information just given into two lists- relevant and irrelevant data. Then carry out the calculation.
