where is the engine cylinder head temperature sensor for a 2000 lincoln ls v8?

my engine keeps saying its overheating, even though when i check it, its not actually hot, when i hook it up to the code reader it says "engine cylinder head temperature sensor detected high heat" so i bought a new sensor hoping that will solve the problem, but now i cant find the old one, its just a brass fitting with a wire harness on one side and a threaded probe on the other but i cant find it for the life of me, i have a 3.9 liter v8, same engine in jaguar type s if that helps, thanks for all the help.

According to the factory service manual the Cylinder-head temperature sensor is located on the passenger side of the engine block, at the bottom of the number 3 cylinder intake port, (under the intake manifold). You will need to remove the intake manifold to replace it.
No wonder you can't find it......
