Centrifuge? what do I do with it?

It is a Sorvall Superspeed SS-3 with a 6 slot rotor.
I put a glass jar with a uncooked egg in the thing and as I turned it on, the jar shattered within a few seconds.
What can I use that wont shatter or that will be fun to check out
and play with.
You know, I'm bored and its a holiday, so what the heck, time to have fun, in a warped way... I guess.

Well I can see that you have found that your glass was a little on the weak side...Did you offset the weight of the glass with a weight so the impeller didn't sling the tube into the wall??? You can use Pyrex that is hardened and looks like a test tube ....Your right its a Holiday what better way than to spend it spinning off some samples...I mean really you could be at home answering yahoo questions..right???
There was a show on TV once called Tool Time I believe Tim the Tool guy used a Binford 8-3000 Hyper-vane with a 4 slot rotor .....He just thought he had a bad one didn't he !!!! ...... <------Tim drooling over Sorvall...Well anyway I had fun here have a great holiday there from the E....
