Time Tested Ayurveda Remedies for Hypertension

Vata is responsible for the blood vessels constricting and this often
happens to people in their old age around 65. The blood vessel walls
thickens and the passage becomes narrow, and this results high blood

Start by changing your diet. The following food for hypertension can be

Ayurvedic Cooking for Self healing, Albuuquerque, Ayurveda Press, 1994

2 cucumbers
4 curry leaves
1 small handful fresh cilantro leaves
3 tablespoons ghee
1 pinch hing
1 pinch cayenne or half small chilli, chopped
half teaspoon cumin seeds
half teaspoon black mustard seeds
half cup fresh plain yogurt

Skin cucumbers and grate. Pour and discard any remaining juice. Heat
the ghee over a medium heat in a saucepan. Add the cumin, mustard, hing
and curry leaves and cook til the seeds crackle.

Add in the cilanto and the chilli or cayenne. Shake the pan and remove
from heat. Set aside to cool. Next stir the yogurt and grated cucumber
in a bowl and add the cooled spices. Mix well and serve as a side dish.

Semen analysis results.... Are they good?

We go see the RE tomorrow but I received a hard copy of the lab results today to take with me. He gave me the cup at around 8 a.m. and I arrived at the lab around 8:50 a.m. so I know we were outside the 30 minute window. It was not processed until 9:34 a.m. according to the lab slip so there was about 1.5 hours that nothing was done with it. Could the time delay have affected the results? If so, how much?

These results are more or less normal, from what I can tell.

Average volume (amount of semen) is between 1 and 6 milliliters, so 4 is normal.

Average pH (acidity) is 7.2-7.8, so the result of 8.0 is a bit high, but not far from normal.

Normal motility (movement of sperm) is 60%, so this sample is average in that respect.

Normal sperm count per milliliter is 20 million and up. So if the volume in this sample is 4 milliliters, and the count is the total number of sperm seen, then the count in this sample is roughly 34 per milliliter, which is normal.

Normal morphology (shape/appearance of sperm) is 30%, so once again, average here too.

WBC refers to white blood cells; there shouldn't be many of them in semen. I am not sure what "0 to 1" in this case means, but it sounds like a low number which is good.

Finally, regarding decreased viscosity, that will normally happen to ejaculate within 20 minutes after orgasm (it starts out thick like a gel, but after a little while changes to a thin liquid).
