Risk Of Lead Poisoning?

Hi,
I have this model boat which I have had about a year, its mast has broken and instead of just throwing it away I began ripping of its old features, like the wheel house e.t.c. I then moved to the hull (I was planning to add an engine so I could make it remote controlled) I was removing the top bit when I saw a dull shiny thing. I looked closer and it was a thin sheet of what looked like lead. It was on top of the plywood, grey and dull.

Oh yeah they put lead in toys and other things that are handled like remote controls, TVs, electrical cords, etc... So you are at risk by just touching those items. Don't know if your boat is lead or not but, is has a chance of being lead?!
My house has lead paint!
