How can I change the column width of a chart in Excel 2007?

I have some charts that I update every month and when I expand the data the wider columns turn into thin lines. Is there any way to get back the width to the columns? The chart is 13 months on the primary axis and two secondary axis.
Please note, this is a CHART not a column in a spreadsheet

If you double click on one of the columns and choose -> Options, this should give you the different options you are after... hopefully!
